Blogmas Day Thirteen - Statement Red Lips

Tis the season for red lipsticks, tra la la la la, la la la...

It's that time of the year again when it's all about the statement red lips and the little black dress. These two are the perfect combination for that touch of sophistication, class and sass. You can't go wrong with these two paired together.

I'm really annoyed because I have a hugeeee second head on my chin right now so all the photos look dreadful with the lipsticks on. Boo. So as I type this - I may or may not add the photos in here. If not, then I'll update the post!

Here are my favourite statement red lips!

Kylie Cosmetics - Kristen

So whilst this is more of a pink, it's still perfect for those who don't feel very comfortable with the boldness of the red lips. If you read my blog you'll know I'm a huge fan of Kylie Cosmetics. I love her lip kits, I think they're amazing for the quality, they have some serious staying power and they're not drying on the lips. They're all also vegan friendly (apart from Candy K) and all her products are Cruelty Free - winner winner! 

Urban Decay Matte Revolution - Temper

Ok, we all know I'm  huge lover of matte lips. I can't get enough of them. This red is so bright and bold, it pretty much screams 'STATEMENT LIPS' Whilst the staying power isn't as good as most, it's great if you're going for a just a couple drinks or you're heading to a family gathering.

Charlotte Tilbury - Bond Girl

Again, not strictly red but it's a gorgeous mauve pink which is perfect for daytime wear to the office and other places. So you can still rock the festive lips without standing out too much. Plus, it's Charlotte Tilbury so you can only imagine the quality of the lipstick. It's ideal to just wear around the office which I often do - it's a toss up between Bond Girl and Kat Von D's Bow and Arrow!

Seventeen - Lava You A Lot*

This is a gorgeous red. It's so bright and bold. It's so pigmented. I was super excited to be sent this lipstick, after all, you can never own too many lipsticks! It's been so long since I've owned a Seventeen lipstick and it's nice to see it on my beauty shelf again... These are so affordable too. Again, perfect if you don't wear makeup often, on a budget or just delving into the makeup world. This lipstick is also ideal if you're a bit weary of statement lips!

Anastasia Beverly Hills - Sarafine
I got this little beauty out in America in July. I was a little bit hesitant at first as I was worried after purchasing that this would make my teeth look super yellow but praise the Lord it doesn't! Anastasia Beverly Hills liquid lipsticks are incredible for their staying power. I can't get enough of them. I'm eyeing up so many more shades at the moment because they're so good! (mum if you're reading this...)

Kate Moss - 107
This was one of my first red/dark lipsticks that I ever purchased. I will always have a soft spot for this product. I think so many people can rock this shade, it's dark but so wearable! I love this to create that perfect vampy look.
