I think the Christmas food is probably most people's favourite thing about Christmas, am I right? You just cant beat a good Christmas dinner!
So every Christmas we have dinner at my Grandma's house (lunch) and she cooks a feast every time. I can never fully complete her Christmas dinners - think I've managed it once or twice in my life! Here's my favourite 'parts' to a Christmas dinner!
Turkey
You can't beat a bit of turkey, some people say it's quite dry but I've never found this to be the case, whack a bit of gravy or cranberry sauce on it and your good to go! Plus the next week you live on turkey assortments - turkey sandwiches, turkey curry, turkey and chips. The most you ever eat Turkey, is without a doubt at Christmas!
Apple Sauce
I don't care what anyone says, apple sauce is incredible. My Grandma makes an amazing homemade apple sauce and I could just eat it on its own out the bowl, mmm...
Yorkshire Puddings
No dinner is complete without yorkshire puddings. They're so damn good and loading the gravy into the middle and then biting into it... Holy moly I'm making myself so hungry!
Pigs in Blankets
A favourite for many, pigs in blankets is like a gift from God. Why wouldn't you want sausages wrapped in bacon? Uhh. Hungry. Plus with Lincolnshire sausages, it makes the best combination. If you've not had Lincolnshire sausages, then you need to.
Mash Potato
Perfect when lathered in heaps of gravy and mixing it with the stuffing balls... mmmm. Or when you're full but still have half your veg to eat - stick it in the mash and hide it! That's what I always do if I can't finish it.
