Threads Beauty: Lashes!

20 June 2016

I've been super excited to write this post. I was recently contacted by a member of the Threads Beauty team and asked if I'd like to try out their false lashes as part of a new UK launch they're having, of course I said yes! Eyelashes are one of the main features of my makeup so I couldn't type back my reply fast enough if I tried! You can buy their lashes from http://www.threadsbeauty.com and pssst - they have a new range launching this month!

So they sent me two different lashes - Red Cherri* and Angel Eyes*. The lashes are handmade and have  an extra flexible lash band for more comfortable wear (which I can vouch for because they were comfy to wear, I didn't realise that I had eyelashes on for the time period that I wore them). If you're like me and not great at putting on lashes, I would practice first. I was trying to get them on for ages. Through no fault but my own - it's nothing to do with the lashes it's just because I'm such a 'kak hander' and my ol' leftie ways just seem to make applying lashes that little bit harder. The glue doesn't smell so that's a bonus and it's latex free!

So I wanted to try some different looks with the eyelashes, so with the Angel Eyes I did a punk style with coppery and red tones. To create this look I used the Makeup Revolution Flawless 2 palette (which is incredible and for £8 you can't go wrong!) If you have me on Snapchat you would've seen me with these lashes on! As you can see, the Angel Eyes lashes are beautiful. They just made my eyes stand out and looked incredible on. These were definitely my favourite lashes and look how great the lashes look with the punk copper/red look I went for? These lashes will definitely be on my future wishlists and they're super cheap too so you can't go wrong!

Next up are the Red Cherri lashes which upon initial arrival, I preferred so much more because they seemed so much fuller. Whilst I like these lashes a lot, I prefer the Angel Eyes lashes just for the way that they fan themselves out. However, the Red Cherri lashes are perfect if you're going to be having a night on the town or you want to feel red carpet ready! I used the greys and midnight blues from the Makeup Revolution Flawless 2 palette to create the look for Red Cherri. With the picture below you can see what I mean with the fullness of the Red Cherri lashes but they're super pretty. If you like full, dramatic lashes then these are the ones for you!

Have you ever tried Threads Beauty? Do you wear false lashes? What do you think to the looks I created? Let me know in the comments below!
