Covershoot Cosmetics: What I Thought!

5 September 2016

I'm sure there's a fair few of you thinking, Covershoot Cosmetics - who are they? Where did they spring up from? Well, they're a new, upcoming brand that you should all keep looking out for!

So recently, I was contacted by a member of the team over at Covershoot Cosmetics asking if I wanted to test out their 'Beauty Blogger Box' I was quite interested in what this had to offer so of course I said yes! I love trying out new brands so I was really interested to find out what Covershoot Cosmetics was all about. They have a website which you can check out here (I'm eyeing up some of their brushes - they look so pretty). As I said already, they're a new brand but with so much to offer and many more products coming out, I'm excited to see where they go!

The Covershoot Eyebrow Kit* is a handy palette that comes with a primer and three different shades. The only issue with this product is that it's limited for people who have light eyebrows because as you can see - the beige is quite dark still. So it would be cool if Covershoot could make another Eyeshadow Kit to cater for those with light brows! However, the kit itself is pretty good, they're quite pigmented and you get tweezers and an applicator with it (which is pretty nice of them - some kits don't provide that). I tried both the brown and black and I think the black was more ideal for me having such dark hair now.

Next up is the Covershoot Cosmetics Contouring Kit* which was a winner for me. It's a cream contour kit where you get the contour, bronzer and highlighter all in one so it's super handy and perfect for when you're on the go. This will also be ideal for starters with contouring because with it being cream, I find it's easier to build up as opposed to powder, plus you get a little 'how to use' on the inside lid of the palette so that's perfect if you're unsure how to delve into the world of contouring!

The Covershoot nail polish remover* is also handy - it's a great, easy way to remove your nail polish. I don't wear polish much because I always pick it off, nor do I actually own any nail polish remover. I decided to try the remover on my toes which always have polish on because y'know... ugly toes are NOT the one... Anyway, I certainly looked funny dunking my toes into a pot but it did the job well! There's no photo for this I'm afraid, I don't want anyone gawping at my toes!

I was also sent two mini eyeshadow palettes to try, the first one is their Covershoot Eyeshadow Neon Kit* not going to lie, I was petrified of this at first, the colours are just SO bright and not really me at all. But, in all fairness it's a decent enough kit. A couple of my shades were a bit chalky but I can live with that. This kit would be perfect for those going to a festival or a gig, who don't want to spend much on makeup they may potentially lose or gets stolen (we all know what festivals can be like with possessions) It's just such a bright and bold palette, I know that this will be a winner there! Cheap and cheerful is what we like to hear!

Ok, so who doesn't love a smoky eyeshadow kit?* This has to be the product that I was most impressed with. I couldn't believe how pigmented it was. As you can see in the photo - I just did one quick swipe with my fingers and it came on so bright. I honestly can't wait for a night out just so I can wear this smoky kit, it's gorgeous. I even made sure to get all five shadows onto the swatch hence the black swatch half way down my pinkie. Considering how cheap Covershoot Cosmetics is I can't believe the quality of this product especially. It's also perfect for those just starting to explore makeup or those on a budget!
