My Favourite Brow Products!

4 October 2016

It's no secret that I am a lover of the brow rage that's been soaring around the world in the last couple of years. Who knew brows could totally enhance your appearance?

We all want that perfect, flawless brow. We want them to look full, but not too full so that they look like a caterpillar. We don't want them too thin, we don't want them sparse, messy, the wrong shade, shapeless... The list could go on.

Before I begin, I just want to apologise for the lack of blogging recently. I've just started a new job and things have been a bit 'full on'. I'll explain more in a separate post!

I've tried so many brow products over the years and I have to say, it's not that easy finding the product that works best for you. Some people prefer powder, some pencil, some pomade etc etc. I'm quite happy to say that I can get on with MOST products once I get the hang of it after adjusting to the consistency of the product and things like that.

Here are a few of my go-to brow products!

First up is Benefit Cosmetics Goofproof Brow Pencil in shade 5. Now, it's no secret that I am a HUGE fan of Benefit. I can't get enough of them. I had heard mixed reviews on this product, some bloggers were saying it's chalky and dry, hard to get product onto your brows and more. I didn't find this the case at all. This stuff was a godsend in Florida. I wore Goofproof most days actually. Especially for the water parks, this baby didn't budge all day! It's great for a quick filling in of the brows and it sends you on your way! The pencil is angled to make it easier for application and it also comes with a spoolie brush at the other end which is super handy! Oh and the packaging is flawless!

Next up, we have the Sleek Makeup Brow Kit* in the shade medium. This is a good dupe for Benefit Cosmetics Browzings (sorry Benefit). I found this brow kit easy to use and apply. It also comes with applicators and mini tweezers which is a bonus! I prefer these mini tweezers to full size ones, I find that they grip so much better! One thing I love about this kit is that you have the wax and the powder so you can build on your brows rather than just 'slapping' it on so to speak, I prefer being able to build on the brows because then I find that you can get a much nicer shape that looks more natural too. The powder is really pigmented as well which I love! All in all, this is perfect for those on a budget who still want that high end feel!

Now for a well known favourite amongst brow enthusiasts... Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade! I have the shade Medium Brown which is a perfect shade for me. I'm naturally a light brown but I dye my hair dark brown/black and this shade suits both wonderfully! This is a firm favourite for many and it's not difficult to see why. The pomade allows you go as light or as heavy as you want with your brows which is great and ideal if you want a subtle 'get up and go' look or full on brows for a night on the town! I keep going back to Anastasia Beverly Hills pomade despite trying various other brands. It just does something for me. It's not too expensive either! I've used this since January and I still have tonnes of product left so it's definitely worth the money.

Anastasia Beverly Hills also do pencils for brows alongside powder so if you prefer those type of products, you can check those out! The Brow Wiz pencil is super handy because you can basically shape your brows to how you want them to be. You get a spoolie brush on the other side too which is handy! It's not dry or chalky like some brow pencils, its really easy to apply. The only downside to the Brow Wiz is that you don't get much product - either that or mine has broken recently, I'm not too sure but that sucks either way! Which is a shame because it is a good product.

Benefit Cosmetics, as the whole world knows recently launched a whole new range of brow products. One of the more popular products was Ka-Brow! This was also recently in my summer makeup essentials. It's also a pomade but the product is a bit firmer than the Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow. Ka-Brow! was also a godsend in Florida, if I wasn't using Goofproof, then I was using this. It has so much staying power, it's brilliant. Even with the heat and humidity, it didn't run once which I was so happy about. This definitely deserves to be in my favourite brow products!

Last, but not least is the Sleek Makeup Brow Perfector* in dark brown. This is great for the days when you can't really be bothered to do your eyebrows but you still want them to look full or at least look like they have a shape to them. I've worn this a couple times for work and I still felt like I had a good brow game going on. I'm guilty of not wanting to leave the house without makeup on and my absolute essentials are my eyebrows and mascara. So I often find myself sticking this on my brows when I just need to pop to Tesco quick or to go to the gym, just because it makes me feel that little bit more confident about my appearance. It's super easy to apply too, one quick glide over your brows and you're good to go!

So there we have it, my favourite brow products to use! Do you like any of these products? Any you want to try? Or do you have a favourite brow product you want to tell me about? Let me know in the comments below!
